Yo, it’s mostly because it glorifies the Victorian era while usually turning a blind eye to the huge injustices and general social fuckedness of that society. It’s kind of the same type of feeling you should get when people glorify shit like the Middle Ages, the Roaring 20s, fuck, even when people are all “I wish I was born in the 60s, man.”
