Anonymous asked: I have a friend who's constantly pushing the kind of political views you and others have yelled about in the past (e.g., affirmative action oppresses people of color, liberals are the real source of racism in the US). He's Asian and I'm white, so swearing at him about racism isn't really an option, and ignoring him or changing the topic has yet to discourage him from bringing it up again later. Can you suggest a graceful way to deal with this?
You know, after all the racism, the most depressing thing about doing this site has been the number of people who write in who have fucking awful friendships. Seriously, people, if you notice yourself consistently wary of your friend’s horrible habits, opinions or actions, get new friends.
